Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons on the Baltic Sea. This is when the beaches become deserted and the sun warms with its warm rays. In addition, the air is full of healthful iodine and the aroma of the coastal forests. What's more, it's also the perfect time to discover Ustka and its surroundings by bike. For guests of Columbus Apartments, bicycle tours are a great way. Thanks to them you will actively spend time and get to know the coastal landscapes from a completely different perspective. All you need to do is choose a route that suits your abilities. Then you will let yourself be carried away by the adventure.

Below you will find a summary of the most interesting bicycle routes in and around Ustka.

The Trail of the Winding Tracks - from Ustka to Rowy

The Winding Tracks Trail is one of the most famous routes in the region. It is approximately 21 kilometers long. It leads along the embankment of the former railroad line, dismantled after World War II. The very beginning of the trip delights, as we set off from Ustka along Grunwaldzka Street and Armii Krajowej Street, and then plunge into the forest landscape.

The route is relatively easy. Therefore, it is ideal for families. However, for more skilled cyclists there is the possibility of extending it. The loop around Lake Gardno and the section towards Rowokol make the whole trip up to 60 kilometers. This is a beautiful way for an all-day escapade, especially in autumn. Then the colorful forests are reflected in the surface of the lake.

This is an ideal option for more experienced cyclists. It offers plenty of thrills and changing landscapes.

To the Slowinski Village Museum in Kluki

This long route is 90 kilometers long. It combines active cycling with time travel. It leads through the "rolled up tracks" towards Smoldzin, and then through meadows and wetlands up to Kluki.

A unique attraction awaits on site - the Museum of the Slavic Village. It presents the life of the former inhabitants of Pomerania. There you can see traditional huts and craft workshops. You will also feel the atmosphere of rural life centuries ago.
Autumn is a great time to visit this place. Then fewer tourists allow you to explore in peace. In addition, the way back to Ustka by bicycle is another opportunity to admire nature.

Beaver feeding ground and old hydroelectric power plant

This is a suggestion for a medium-length trip. It is about 55 km long. The route leads through Komnino and Bukowo to Zelkovo. There are beaver lodges there. This is an unusual opportunity to see the effects of these remarkable animals up close.

On the way we pass an old hydroelectric power plant on the Łupawa River. This is a testimony to old technologies and a source of energy from long ago. Further on, the route goes around Lake Gardno and through Rowy returns to Ustka. The tour combines nature with the history of technology. This makes it unique and extremely interesting.

Trail of hydroelectric power plants of the Słupia Valley

This is a real treat for history and nature lovers. The route is as long as 90 km. It leads from Ustka through Słupsk and Skarszów Dolny to Soszyca. That's where some of the oldest active hydroelectric power plants in Europe are located.

This trail is 26 km long. It leads through Zapadłe, Wytowno, Machowino, Lubuczewo up to Jezierzyce. The name of the route is not accidental. For in the vicinity of Wytowno there was a former airship base. From there the German Zeppelins took off.

There is a late Baroque palace from the 18th century. It once belonged to the von Bandemer family. It is one of the most interesting examples of old Pomeranian residential architecture. It is surrounded by a park and charming landscape.
